Girls' XC Places Third at Shelby Farms

(MEMPHIS, TN - September 14, 2022) - The SBA Cross Country team competed in the first Memphis Youth Athletics (MYA) meet of the season.

The girls' squad performed admirably, finishing in third place behind St. Mary's and Briarcrest.

Maddia Mullis was the fastest Eagle runner, finishing 5th with a time of 24:25.

Sommer Griffis (6th, 24:44), Zoe Geronimo (9th, 25:45), and Savannah Scott (10th, 26:15) all finished toward the front of the pack to put the Eagles in a solid position.

Ornella Villegas also factored in to the Eagles' score. The team will travel to Huntsville, AL this weekend for the Southern Showcase.
