SBA Girls Compete at State Meet

(HENDERSONVILLE, TN - November 5, 2021) - The St. Benedict girls' cross country team finished their season by making the trip to Hendersonville to run in the state championship meet on Friday morning.

Senior Sarah Wiggins led the way for the Eagles in her final race, finishing in 74th place overall with a time of 23:12. Junior Savannah Scott (23:18) wasn't far behind in 78th.

Other Eagle point scorers included Sommer Griffis (89th, 23:40), Ella Lamey (92nd, 23:58), and Anna Leoni (95th, 24:02). Madeline Wade and Kayleigh Villem also ran hard for the Eagles.

The team finished 15th of 17 teams, ahead of local rivals St. Mary's and St. Agnes.
