Volleyball Team Qualifies for Gold Bracket

(MEMPHIS, TN - August 19-20, 2023) - The Eagle volleyball team earned its first wins of the season this weekend at the Spartan Showdown, which was held at the Memphis Sports and Events Center.

On Friday, they took down Lausanne (25-16, 25-10) and East (25-20, 25-16) to begin pool play.

They followed up their hot start by defeating Millington (25-21, 25-14) and Covington (25-16, 22-25, 15-8) to qualify for the Gold Bracket playoff.

The team's loss to Crockett County (8-25, 20-25) then ended the tournament, but it was a successful weekend all around for the Eagles.

The team is now 4-2 and will face Northpoint, St. Mary's, and Brighton this week before playing in the River City Classic over the weekend.
