Volleyball Places Fifth in River City Classic

(BARTLETT, TN - August 26-27, 2022) - The volleyball team competed in the River City Classic at Bartlett High School over the weekend, fighting hard to secure a fifth place finish in the tournament's gold bracket.

The team went 2-1 in pool play, defeating Millington (25-6, 25-9) and White Station (25-23, 23-25, 15-11) while losing to Northpoint (19-25, 19-25).

The win against White Station clinched a spot in the gold bracket and a matchup with Marion.

The Patriots took the gold bracket opener, 17-25 and 16-25, but the Eagles responded by beating Hutchison (25-18, 25-23) in straight sets to finish in fifth place.

After a long road stretch, the girls (8-6) return to The Nest to face Briarcrest in a region match on Tuesday.
