Eagles Sweep Past Brighton

CORDOVA, TN (September 20, 2021) – St. Benedict completed the season sweep past Brighton with a 3-0 win at SBA Gym on Monday.

The Eagles improved to 8-3 with just five matches remaining in the regular season slate.

The first set was back and forth to start until SBA pulled way and posted a 25-15 win. The home team then cruised to a 25-12 win in the second and finished off Brighton with a 25-17 score in the third.

Gabrielle Huntley led the way with 10 kills and two aces. Lauren Carter added five kills and three service aces.

The JV Eagles also won, beating Brighton 23-25, 25-19 and 15-8.

St. Benedict next hosts Briarcrest on Tuesday, September 21, starting with the freshmen match at 4:30 p.m.
