Stars Shoot Past Eagles Varsity; JV and Freshmen Win

CORDOVA, TN (September 14, 2021) – St. Benedict at Auburndale welcomed the St. Agnes Stars to the Nest on Tuesday and took two of the three matches.

The Eagles freshmen team started with a 26-24, 25-21 win while the JV went to three sets, winning 25-21, 24-26 and 15-13.

SBA and SAA battled in the varsity match with the Stars taking the first set 25-21 and the second 25-18. The Eagles trailed by seven deep into the third set and went on a 4-0 run before the Stars closed it out, 25-21.

SBA (6-3) is at Hutchison on Thursday, Sept. 16 before hosting Brighton, Briarcrest and Arlington in a three-game home stand next week.
