Eagles Win Four-Set Battle at Bartlett

BARTLETT, TN (September 10, 2021) – St. Benedict at Auburndale volleyball picked up its third-straight win on Thursday, beating Bartlett on the road 3-1. 

Gabrielle Huntley led with way for the Eagles (6-2) with five service aces and 12 kills, including the match-point in the fourth set. Teri Brooks also had 12 kills on the night.

Kara Crunk added four aces, 12 digs and 38 assists. Kennedi Catron racked up a team-best 17 digs.

SBA took the first set 25-21 before the Panthers flipped the score in the second and made it a 1-1 match. The Eagles outlasted Bartlett 26-24 in the third set and posted a 25-21 win in the third to seal it up.

The SBA JV team was swept on the night, 25-22, 25-18.

SBA is back at home on Tuesday, September 14 hosting St. Agnes. The freshman match is slated to start at 4:30, followed by JV at 5:30 and Varsity at 6:30.
