SBA Beats Brighton to Move to 4-0

BRIGHTON, TN (August 24, 2021) – Playing in back-to-back road games didn't faze the St. Benedict at Auburndale volleyball team as the Eagles beat Brighton 3-1 on Tuesday.

SBA moves to 4-0 on the year and has yet to play a fifth set.

The Eagles came out of the gate on fire, winning 25-15 in the opening frame. A 25-23 win in the second pushed the score to 2-0 before Brighton took the third 25-17. SBA rallied and won the deciding fourth set, 25-22.

The JV squad also moved to 4-0 on the season, winning 25-21, 15-25, 15-8.

The Eagles are back on the road Thursday, playing a region game at St. Agnes. The freshmen start at 4:30, followed by the JV and Varsity.
