Soccer Ends Season With Playoff Loss at Ensworth

(NASHVILLE, TN - October 17, 2022) - The girls' soccer team made the drive to Nashville for a playoff game at Ensworth.

The game was a first round matchup in the TSSAA Division II-AA playoff bracket. The Eagles represented the West region as the third seed and the Tigers represented the Middle region as the fourth seed.

Ensworth got off to a hot start and built a 3-0 halftime lead, from which SBA never recovered.

Emmy Brenner scored a long-range goal in the second half, but Ensworth continued to pour it on, winning 7-1 and advancing to face Briarcrest in the quarterfinal round.

Although the end was not what they were looking for, the team (4-7-3) improved this year and has built some momentum going into the 2023 season.
