Eagles and Turkeys Play to Scoreless Tie

(CORDOVA, TN - September 27, 2022) - The girls' soccer team welcomed St. Mary's to The Nest on Tuesday night for a crucial region match.

Both teams were up to the task and played each other even for the duration.

The Eagles had numerous scoring opportunities in the first half, including a header from Emmy Brenner on a cross from Lily Demilio that hit the crossbar.

The second half was equally as tense, as both teams had scoring opportunities.

However, another Brenner header hit the crossbar again and freshman Camila Nieto's late shot attempt was saved by the Turkey keeper and the Eagles were unable to score.

Junior Gracie Luther made a couple big saves to preserve the shutout and the 0-0 tie.

The team is now 3-5-3 and 1-3-2 in the region. Their next game is Thursday night at Briarcrest.
