Stars Pull Away from Eagles in Second Half

MEMPHIS, TN (August 26, 2021) – St. Benedict at Auburndale grabbed a late second half goal, but was kept off the board in the second and fell to St. Agnes 6-1 on a steamy Thursday night. 

SAA ran out to a quick 2-0 lead early in the first half. Emma Clowney found the back of the net for SBA in the waning moments of the half and cut the lead to 2-1 at the break. After a 30-minute rain delay, St. Agnes scored four more times to hand the Eagles the loss.

SBA will look to bounce back on Tuesday, August 31, hosting St. Mary's on the home turf for the first time this season. Kick off is set for 6 p.m.
