Eagles Blanked by Turkeys in Opener  

MEMPHIS, TN (August 24, 2021) – St. Benedict at Auburndale got its season underway Tuesday with a trip to St. Mary's. After an evenly played first half, SMS came out on top, 4-0.

Playing under scorching temperatures, the two squads battled to a scoreless first half. Gracie Luther was solid in goal, keeping the Turkey's off the board.

St. Mary's broke the tie early in the second half with a quick goal. The Eagles were able to keep it close nearly the rest of the way before a flurry of late scores put the final score at 4-0.
