Moore Finishes Second in State Tournament

(SMYRNA, TN - January 19, 2022) - Senior Tori Moore placed second in the Division II Individual State Tournament in Smyrna on Wednesday.

After averaging a score of 166 per game in the semifinal round, Moore secured the sixth seed in the final ladder match round. Faced with the task of winning five straight matches, she almost pulled off the feat.

In each of the first four ladder matches, Moore defeated a bowler from powerhouse Friendship Christian, including Olivia VanHooser, Presley Martin, Olivia Rush, and Landry West, before ultimately coming up just short against Lipscomb Academy's Jenna Hedgepeth in the final match.

In addition to Moore's second place finish, the SBA girls' bowling team was also represented by senior Emma Drzycimski (150 average) and sophomore Zoe Crider (137 average).

The team competition will be held Thursday in Smyrna.
