Hutchison Stings Eagles

(MEMPHIS, TN - February 8, 2022) - The SBA girls' basketball team played a mid-week road region game at Hutchison on Tuesday night. The game had been rescheduled after last week's ice storm.

Hutchison opened up a commanding 16-4 lead in the first quarter and never looked back, winning by a final score of 52-17. Tyler Jones was the Sting's leading scorer with 16 points and Berklee Scifres scored nine points.

The Eagle offense struggled to handle the Hutchison press and had a tough shooting night. Maria Bair was the leading scorer with eight points.

The team is now 4-17 and 1-5 in the region and will play another region game at St. Agnes on Thursday night.
