SBA Girls Slip Up at ECS

(CORDOVA, TN - January 22, 2022) - The SBA girls' basketball team made the short trip down Germantown Parkway to play at ECS (5-9) on Saturday.

Izzie Polania came out on fire in the first quarter, hitting two of her four three-pointers in the first quarter to help SBA build an early lead. She shot well all day and was the game's high scorer with 22 points.

ECS responded with a big second quarter to take a 26-22 lead at the half. Aubrey Broadway (20 pts) and Lucy Benson (13 pts) carried the bulk of the load for ECS.

After an even third quarter, SBA was in a position to make a run late but ECS held off the push to take this one by a score of 49-42.

The girls fell to 3-14 and will have to wait until they play St. Mary's on Thursday for another shot at a win.
