Lynx Beat SBA Girls in Holiday Tourney

(CORDOVA, TN - December 21, 2021) - The SBA Holiday Tournament tipped off on Tuesday with a matchup between Lausanne and St. Benedict.

The game remained relatively even in the first half even though SBA slogged through some offensive struggles. At halftime, the Lynx held a 21-15 lead.

The third quarter was even as well, as the Eagles produced their best offensive quarter of the game, scoring 12 points.

However, a 17-3 Lausanne run in the fourth quarter spelled disaster for SBA. Maddy Elliott paced the Lynx with 25 points and closed out the game with 14 of those in the fourth quarter.

Maria Bair led SBA with eight points and Izzie Polania chipped in seven herself.

The SBA girls have fallen to 1-8. They will play their second game of the tournament on Wednesday against Tipton-Rosemark.
