SBA Girls Fall Short Against Jackson Christian

(CORDOVA, TN - December 10, 2021) - Jackson Christian made the trip to The Nest to face the SBA girls' basketball team on Friday.

The game time was moved up to 4:30 to allow Jackson Christian to avoid inclement weather on the return trip following the game.

Despite only dressing seven active players, Jackson Christian managed to control the game with a balanced scoring effort. Every player scored for them and Lilly Barnes was the top scorer with nine points. At the end of the first half, they led 21-14.

Izzie Polania (15 pts) shot the ball well for SBA and Maria Bair scored all eight of her points during the second half SBA push. Some late ball pressure led to steals and fast break run outs, but it was too little too late and Jackson Christian (6-2) walked away with a 37-29 victory.

St. Benedict (1-4) will welcome MHEA to The Nest on Tuesday night.
