SBA Girls Drop One at PJP II

(HENDERSONVILLE, TN - December 4, 2021) - Following their exciting win against Germantown, the SBA girls' basketball team faced Pope John Paul II in Hendersonville on Saturday night.

The Knights were up for the challenge and stifled the Eagles early on, holding them scoreless in the first quarter.

Once again, the Eagles fought back and responded to adversity, cutting the lead to 17-11 at halftime. Maria Bair led SBA with 8 points and Izzie Polania (6 pts) and Farrah Rector (5 pts) followed.

After halftime, PJP II used a 16-5 third quarter to pull away. The Eagles won the fourth quarter but the Knights left with a 43-32 win.

The girls are now 1-2 and will welcome Union City to The Nest on Tuesday night.
