Boys' Lax Splits Doubleheader in Mississippi

(OXFORD, MS - April 9, 2022) - The boys' lacrosse team made the trip south to Mississippi on Saturday for a doubleheader at Regents School of Oxford.

The first game against the hosting Regents squad was a close one down to the final minutes. Senior Sean Simoncic led the way with a hat trick. Will Dabney, Drake Watters, and Joshua Thompson each scored goals.

Although they came closer than in their first matchup with the Lions, the boys fell, 7-6.

The second game of the doubleheader brought a matchup with St. Andrew's Episcopal of Jackson, Mississippi. This one proved to be a much better matchup for the Eagles, as they dispatched the Saints by a score of 16-8.

Simoncic and Watters each scored four goals in the game, while Dabney and Joseph Franceschini secured hat tricks. Thompson added two goals for good measure. Ben Bosque manned the goal in both games.

The team (2-14) will be back in action at Arlington on Wednesday night.
