SBA Battles Heat at FCA Tournament

MEMPHIS, TN (August 23, 2021) – Under a scorching hot Monday at Windyke Country Club, the St. Benedict at Auburndale boys and girls golf teams took part in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Tournament.

Brandon Baker played the full 18 championship course for the guys team, shooting an 89. Cash Townsend posted a 75 and Nathan Hunt shot 81 on the par-3 links.

For the girls, Claire Hollingsworth was one of the few in the field to break 80, firing a five-over round of 77. Tanier Massey carded a 91 and Isabel Mejia totaled 97 strokes.

The SBA boys get right back to it on Wednesday, August 25 going head-to-head with MUS at Audubon. The girls are at Wedgewood on Thursday, August 26 facing Northpoint, St. Agnes and Hutchison.
