Bowling Sweeps Briarcrest

(MEMPHIS, TN - December 5-7, 2023) - The SBA bowling teams wrapped up their regular seasons this week, with both qualifying for the TSSAA State Tournament in Smyrna.

The boys completed a perfect 8-0 regular season by defeating CBHS 23-4 on Tuesday and Briarcrest 21-6 on Thursday.

Ben Miller had the high score against the Brothers and rolled a 243 as the Eagles knocked down 2769 pins to the Wave's 2419.

Miller also starred on Thursday with two great games (258, 234), while Brady St. Gelais also had an exceptional day (278, 236).

The overall pin total over 3091 was enough to beat Briarcrest's total by over 1000 pins.

As for the girls, they took a tough loss against St. Agnes (14-13) on Tuesday before responding to beat the Saints 22-5 on Thursday.

Captains Marcy Bryant and Zoe Crider led the charge and Ava Ryan bowled a 202.

The State Tournament will be held in January.
