SBA Boys Fall Just Short in Semis

(SMYRNA, TN -January 21, 2022) - Despite a strong season, the SBA boys' bowling team fell just short against Lipscomb Academy in the semifinal match of the State Tournament, 12-11.

The team trailed by just two points after the American 10-Pin round. Mason McHughes (212) and Adam Fillion (201) led the way.

SBA won the first three Baker rounds to take a 9-5 lead, but Lipscomb took the final two rounds and the bonus points from the 10-Pin round gave them just enough cushion to win.

Nevertheless, the boys had a successful season, finishing with an 8-2 record and two place finishers in the state, Adam Fillion and Josh Parker.
