Fillion and Parker Place at Individual State Tournament

(SMYRNA, TN - January 19, 2022) - The opening day of the TSSAA Division II state competitions in bowling began on Wednesday with the individual tournament.

Four SBA boys represented the Eagle bowling team in Smyrna and two of them placed at the end of the tournament.

Sophomore Adam Fillion averaged a 190 and was seeded fourth in the final ladder match stage. Junior Josh Parker averaged a 183, which was good for the sixth seed.

Despite strong showings, both fell to Caleb Kelley of Boyd Buchanan in their ladder matches, finishing fifth and sixth in the state respectively.

Jaylon Hawkins (175 average) and Geno Siano (156 average) also competed for SBA after qualifying for state.

The team tournament will begin from Smryna on Thursday.
