Gray Honored for Scoring 1000th Point

(MEMPHIS, TN - December 2023) - The Eagle basketball teams faced off with MHEA on Tuesday afternoon, but the highlight came at halftime of the boys' game.

Senior Marcus Gray was honored after eclipsing the 1000 point mark against Houston on November 25.

The game itself was exciting, although it ended in a 103-95 Eagle loss in double overtime after missing a couple buzzer beater attempts.

Gray and D'Qorian Davis both scored 19 points, while Kylon Jones was the leading scorer with 28.

The girls also squared off with MHEA and came up a bit short, 52-39.

Maria Bair (14) and Gracie Lamey (11) were the leading scorers.
