Eagles Fall Just Short at CBHS

(MEMPHIS, TN - January 20, 2023) - The boys' basketball team faced CBHS in the first of three meetings this year in a road region game on Friday night.

The two teams were neck and neck for the entire game in what proved to be an even contest.

Marcus Gray and Damion Cox hit big shots early in the game to set the tone before the Purple Wave settled down and found an offensive rhythm.

CBHS led 24-23 at halftime before taking a three point lead into the fourth quarter.

The Eagles were up to the task and stormed back to take the lead with a couple minutes left in the game.

However, the Brothers went on a 10-0 run to close out their 55-48 victory, aided by turnovers forced by their half court trap.

Cox (20) and Gray (14) provided most of the scoring for SBA, while Drew Petro notched 30 points for CBHS.

The team (11-5, 0-2) travels to Munford, where they will look to avenge an early season overtime defeat.
