Boys' Basketball Places Second in Holiday Tournament

(MURRAY, KY - December 28-30, 2022) - The boys' basketball team traveled north for the holidays to Murray, Kentucky to play in the Murray Bank Holiday Classic.

In each of the three tournament games, they faced off against Kentucky-based high schools.

The opening game resulted in a 71-64 win over Graves County in which Kylon Jones led the Eagles with 23 points.

In the semifinal, the Eagles secured another win against Taylor County, 74-65. Marcus Gray was the leading point man in that one, scoring 25 points.

Jones led the way again in the final matchup against Calloway County with 22 points, but the Eagles fell just short by a score of 71-61 to finish as the tournament runners-up.

Jones and Damion Cox were named to the all-tournament team.

The boys' record currently sits at 10-3 as they prepare for region play, which opens on January 13 at MUS.
