Eagle Boys Drop Road Region Game at Briarcrest

(EADS, TN - January 28, 2022) - The SBA boys' basketball team met Briarcrest in a region struggle in Eads on Friday night.

The game was hotly contested early on but Briarcrest started to pull away just before halftime and extended the lead from there to secure a 77-61 victory.

Cooper Haynes was the game's leading scorer and was a consistent offensive threat throughout the game, ending up with 29 points.

Damion Cox (20 pts) and Marcus Gray (14 pts) provided the bulk of the scoring for SBA. The Eagles did mount a late charge, scoring 24 points in the fourth quarter, but it was too little too late.

The team is 6-12 and 0-3 in the region and will welcome Lewisburg (MS) to The Nest on Tuesday.
