DeSales (KY) Squeaks Out Win Against SBA Boys

(CORDOVA, TN - December 21, 2021) - The SBA boys played their first game of the SBA Holiday Tournament against DeSales High School out of Louisville, KY on Tuesday.

The two teams proved to be evenly matched throughout the game. The Eagles took an early lead but DeSales responded with a second quarter run to take the lead at the half, 28-24.

In the third quarter, the Colts made a push and took control of the game. Carter Bischoff was their leading scorer with 25 points, while Austin Carr-Cole (19 pts) and William Gibson (17 pts) were also big factors.

SBA made a late push, scoring 27 points in the fourth quarter. Game high scorer Damion Cox put in 17 of his 27 points in the final frame. Gary Bair (22 pts) also hit a few shots during the run.

Ultimately, DeSales was able to hang on for a 72-68 win.

The boys are 5-6 and will see Houston on Wednesday in another tournament game.
