SBA Boys Crush Tornadoes

(CORDOVA, TN - December 7, 2021) - The SBA boys' basketball team responded to a rough stretch with a resounding 76-53 win over the Union City Tornadoes.

The Eagles established control of the game from the opening tipoff, quickly running out to a 20-11 lead. The barrage continued in the second quarter and the halftime lead ballooned to a 39-20 margin.

Freshmen Damion Cox (24 pts) and Cayden Willis (15 pts) led the way for the Eagles while seniors Josh Neely (11 pts) and Gary Bair (11 pts) both provided strong support.

DJ Robinson (15 pts) was the leading scorer for Union City, who did make a late push, but SBA cruised to a feel-good home victory nonetheless.

The boys (2-5) are back in action at home on Friday, when they will face Jackson Christian.
