Crusaders Stop Eagles in Opener

(CORDOVA, TN - November 19, 2021) - The SBA boys' basketball team began their 2021-22 campaign on the road at FACS on Friday night.

They ran into a three-pronged Crusader attack that proved to be too much to handle. Daniel Egbuniwe (30 pts), TJ Thomas (27 pts), and Alex Harris (17 pts) provided nearly all of the scoring output for FACS.

Freshman Damion Cox poured in 23 points in his first career game as an Eagle and sophomore Ryan Neely contributed 15 points.

Ultimately, the Crusader offense proved to be too strong and they took this one, 80-63.

SBA (0-1) will play Olive Branch Nov. 26 in a game that will be played at MUS.
