Eagle Win Streak Ends at Briarcrest

(EADS, TN - October 21, 2022) - The football team traveled to Briarcrest for their yearly matchup with the Saints on Friday night.

Early on, things looked promising for SBA when Antonio Adams scored on a 26-yard run to give the Eagles a 6-0 lead midway through the first quarter.

However, it was all Briarcrest from there. Blake Clarkson hit Max Carroll for a touchdown to erase the lead before JoJo Saleem rushed one in to put the Saints up 14-6 after the first stanza.

They would score four more times before the Eagles saw the endzone again, on three more touchdown passes by Clarkson (200 yds, 4 TD) and a punt return score from Reed Linder.

Antonio Adams (111 yds, 2 TD) added another score in the fourth quarter, but the SBA offense was mostly held in check otherwise.

The final was 49-12 in favor of Briarcrest. The team (2-7, 0-4) will cap its regular season with a trip to CBHS on Friday.
