(CORDOVA, TN - October 22, 2021) - On a cool fall evening, St. Benedict clashed with an undefeated Briarcrest team.

The Saints raced out to an early lead thanks to three first quarter touchdown passes from QB JD Sherrod (12-14, 223 yards), including two to Reed Linder (5 rec, 111 yards).

In the second quarter, Derrick Carroll, Ahmad Miller, and Blake Clarkson each added touchdown runs and the Saints defense held the Eagles scoreless to extend their lead to 42-0 at the half.

Cayden Willis broke off a 95-yard kickoff return for a score out of the half, but two Clarkson touchdown passes pushed the final score to 56-7 in favor of Briarcrest.

St. Benedict (0-8) will face Christian Brothers in their regular season finale Friday night.
