(MEMPHIS, TN - October 15, 2021) - St. Benedict met an undefeated Central team at Crump Stadium on Friday night. The game was briefly delayed due to severe weather in the area at game time.
Once the game was underway, Central came out firing on all cylinders. Thanks to three early touchdowns from RB Jamarious Brooks (228 yards, 4 TD) and a touchdown pass from QB Law Wright to WR Isaiah Patton. Antonio Adams scored on a three yard touchdown run for the Eagles but the Warriors still held a 28-7 lead after the first quarter.
From there, Central methodically extended their lead with two touchdowns from Quincy Briggs, including a 90 yard kickoff return, and another Brooks touchdown run.
St. Benedict (0-7) will meet Briarcrest in a home region contest at 7:00 on Friday night.
