SBA Drops One at Northpoint

(SOUTHAVEN, MS - October 7, 2021) - The Eagles traveled to Mississippi to face Northpoint on Thursday night, hoping to rebound from a tough loss in their wild homecoming game.

In a game that was added to the schedule mid-season, the Trojans jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. Two early touchdowns from running back Josh Fisher and sharp passing from quarterback Jack Patterson (399 yards, 4 TD) helped them build a 35-0 lead by the midway point in the second quarter.

Cayden Willis provided a spark for the Eagles in the second quarter with a touchdown on an electric 65-yard kickoff return and another rushing touchdown to cut into the lead before halftime. Antonio Adams also added a touchdown run late in the fourth quarter.

However, the Northpoint lead was simply too much to overcome. St. Benedict (0-7) will be back in action Friday at Central.
