Saints Squeeze by Eagles in Region Game

(EADS, TN - April 5, 2022) - In the second game of the region series, Briarcrest defeated the baseball team by a 4-0 score.

Despite the loss, this may have been the best game of the season for the Eagles. Freshman Alex McAlpin pitched a complete game, giving up two earned runs and striking out six. The Saints scored two in the first inning, but McAlpin kept the Eagles within range throughout the game.

Unfortunately, the Eagle offense struggled to get going. Seamas Carrasco had the only SBA hit of the game.

The team (1-14, 0-1) travels to Tipton-Rosemark on Thursday night.
