Eagles Lose Close Match Against St. Mary's

(CORDOVA, TN - September 20, 2022) - The volleyball team hosted St. Mary's in a region match at The Nest on Tuesday night.

It was a back and forth affair that saw both teams rally at different times.

The Eagles gutted out a first set victory, 25-23, after both teams looked ready to take control at different points in the set.

In the second set, the Turkeys rallied from an early deficit and won 25-22 to avoid going down two sets to none.

SBA responded with a 25-19 third set victory and looked primed to carry on the momentum.

But St. Mary's took the fourth set by a 25-17 score and rode the momentum to a 15-8 fifth set victory to win the match.

The team (9-14, 2-4) will host White Station on Thursday for Senior Night.
