SBA Swimmers Open the Season

(COLLIERVILLE, TN - October 28, 2021) - The weather is cooling down outside, but pool season is just beginning for the SBA swim teams.

Both the boys and the girls opened their season at St. George's last Thursday.

Senior Lucas Ferro led the boys, finishing in first place in the 50-yard backstroke and in second place in the 50-yard breaststroke. Senior Colin Lee also swam well and finished in second place in the 100-yard individual medley.

In the girls' events, senior Joslyn Hunt and junior Isabel Mejia both posted personal records in the 100-yard freestyle.

Both teams will be off for the month of November before returning to St. George's for the second Shelby County sprint meet of the season on December 9.
