Eagles Score Late to Tie Hutchison

(CORDOVA, TN - September 17, 2022) - The soccer team made up a previously postponed region match against Hutchison at The Nest on Saturday afternoon.

It proved to be worth the wait as fans were treated to some excitement.

The Sting held a 2-1 lead at halftime and seemed to be in control of the match. Emmy Brenner scored the first goal for the Eagles.

The second half remained even until Stella Drake scored a late goal with one minute remaining in the match to knot the score at 2-2.

From there the clock ran out, ending the match in a tie. Gracie Luther was in goal for SBA.

The team is now 2-4-1 and 0-2-1 in the region. They will host Lausanne on Tuesday.
