Girls' Golf Finishes One Stroke Short at Greens of Irene

(MEMPHIS, TN - September 13, 2022) - The girls' golf team competed in a tight, tense match at the Greens of Irene on Tuesday afternoon.

ECS and Hutchison, two of their tougher opponents, were both on their game. But SBA was able to match them stroke for stroke all match.

In the end, ECS (80) squeezed out a tight victory over SBA and Hutchison, both of whom finished with a score of 81.

Briarcrest (92) and Northpoint (96) also competed in the match.

Junior Claire Hollingsworth tied with ECS golfer Claire Todd for low medalist honors, as both shot a 37 on the day.

The next match is Wednesday afternoon at Timber Truss against Fayette Academy, Westminster, St. George's, and St. Mary's.
