Eagle Girls Beat St. Agnes in Close Contest

(MEMPHIS, TN - October 18, 2022) - After an easy season-opening win, the girls' bowling team was met with a much tougher challenge in St. Agnes on Tuesday.

The match was close throughout, as evidenced by the slight pin total advantage (1480-1362) in favor of the Eagles.

The two teams split the individual points in the American 10-Pin round. Rachel Gammill (181), Marcy Bryant (146), and Zoe Crider (123) earned points for SBA.

St. Agnes earned the pin total bonus points by the slightest of pin margins (748-744) to take a 5-3 lead going into the Baker rounds.

The two teams alternated winning in the Baker games until the fifth one, which the Eagles won.

That combined with the three points earned for overall pin total advantage was enough to give the team a 14-9 victory and move to 2-0 on the season.

The next match for the girls is Thursday, October 27 against St. Agnes.
