SBA Girls' Season Ends on Senior Night

(CORDOVA, TN - February 18, 2022) - The SBA girls' basketball team concluded its season with a 62-30 loss against Briarcrest (22-6, 8-0) at home on Friday night.

Senior Izzie Polania was the game's high scorer, posting a 17 point effort in her final game in front of the home crowd. Ella Fite (14 pts) and Kayli Clarkson (10 pts) were the leading scorers for the Saints.

The game was tight in the first quarter until Briarcrest used an 18-6 second quarter to pull away for good.

For the Eagles, Friday night was about celebrating the 2022 senior class. Along with Polania, Sarah Wiggins, Ella Lamey, Aoife Sherron, Catherine Cole, Dayle Bullen, and Izzy Baker were honored after the game.

The girls finished the season 4-19 and 1-6 in the region.
