Willis Takes Third in High Jump in Murfreesboro

(MURFREESBORO, TN - May 25, 2022) - Four SBA track athletes competed in the TSSAA State Tournament in Murfreesboro this week.

It was a successful day for the Eagles, with each of them putting forth strong efforts.

Senior Kathryn Hosp finished in the runner-up position as the second best pole vaulter in the state. Senior Bianca Von Bergen also made the podium with a third place finish in the discus.

Two underclassmen also competed and had strong showings.

Freshman Cayden Willis placed third in the high jump and sixth in the long jump, while sophomore Ava Esteb took fifth in the 200m and sixth in the 100m.

It was a solid final performance for the seniors and the underclassmen will look to build on this performance next year.
