Eagle Boys Drop First Game of Season

(GERMANTOWN, TN - November 30, 2022) - The boys' basketball team went on the road to play Houston on Wednesday night.

The game was previously scheduled for Tuesday before being postponed due to inclement weather.

Fans were treated to a shootout between the Mustangs and the Eagles on a night when Houston had the advantage in every quarter but both teams shot well from the field.

Damion Cox led the way for SBA, pouring in 36 points, including an 18/21 effort from the free throw line. Marcus Gray was the second leading scorer with 21 points.

Brock Vice's 32 point effort highlighted the Mustangs' scoring totals while Ryan Mitchell (16) and Mavrick Miller (13) also hit double figures.

The Houston lead was 45-37 at halftime and they extended it from there to win 99-79 and hand the Eagles their first loss of the young season.

SBA (4-1) hosts Bolton on Saturday.
