Eagles Fight But Fall Short at Briarcrest

(EADS, TN - September 29, 2022) - The soccer team traveled to Eads on Thursday to face a Briarcrest team that had already clinched first place in the region.

Although the final score read 5-0, the Eagles held the Saints scoreless through much of the first half.

A late barrage of goals before halftime made it 3-0 at the break, but the team could be proud of its effort in a tough environment and down a couple starters.

They are now 3-6-3 on the year and 1-4-2 in the region.

A Monday match against St. Agnes will be their final one of the regular season and may hold postseason implications depending on the result.
