Willis Places First in High Jump at Regionals

(MEMPHIS, TN - May 12, 2022) - The track team competed at the TSSAA Division II-AA Regional Tournament at MUS this week.

The girls had a strong showing and multiple athletes finished in first place. Ava Esteb qualified for the State Tournament by winning the 200m run. She also finished second in the 100m run.

Bianca Von Bergen qualified for state by finishing first in the discus and also finished second in the shotput.

Kathryn Hosp placed second in the pole vault and Kate Simoncic finished sixth in the 200m run.

For the boys, Cayden Willis qualified for state with a first place high jump finish as well as a second place long jump finish.

Daniel Leoni finished fourth in the 800m run and Colin Kozlowski finished sixth in the 1600m run.

The TSSAA State Tournament will be held in Murfreesboro the week of May 23.
