Eagle Boys Win Two at MUS Shootout

(MEMPHIS, TN - November 25-26, 2022) - The boys' basketball team competed in the MUS Shootout at MUS over Thanksgiving Break.

In the first of their two games, they defeated KIPP by a score of 75-59.

Damion Cox led the team in scoring with 30 points, while Ryan Neely posted a season high 17 points.

The game was closely contested in the first half before the Eagles extended the lead to double digits in the third quarter.

The team's second game in the tournament was against Soulsville.

They opened the game on a 35-4 run against an overmatched opponent and never looked back, cruising to a 95-26 victory.

Marcus Gray and Cox both scored 20 points, and Damion added 10 assists to record a double double.

Neely also had a double double, scoring 10 points and notching 10 steals, while D'Qorian Berry (14), Marshall Smith (11), and Cian Sherron (11) scored in double figures.

The team will face a tough Houston team on the road on Tuesday.
