(CORDOVA, TN - September 16, 2022) - The football team welcomed regional opponent Brentwood Academy from Nashville to The Nest on Friday night.
The highly touted Brentwood offens wasted no time, putting up 23 points in the first quarter.
While the SBA defense struggled to offer any resistance, the offense was able to move the ball effectively.
Despite having three opportunities deep in Brentwood territory in the first half, the team was held scoreless until the fourth quarter when backup quarterback Jordan Irvin hit Jordan Ward for a 72 yard touchdown pass.
Brentwood quarterback George MacIntyre was efficient, completing 10 of his 16 passes for 303 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Alex McAlpin threw for 232 yards himself but was unable to connect on a touchdown pass.
In addition to Ward (7 rec, 157 yds), Cayden Willis (6 rec, 75 yds) and Dewayne Moseley (8 rec, 49 yds) were heavily targeted.
The team (0-4, 0-2) will make a trip to Nashville to play Ensworth next week.
